Music City BEST Robotics

Best Robotics is a volunteer and donation-based organization that relies on support from professionals, companies, and hubs. Schools can participate in the competition at no cost. The lead teacher at a participating school is typically a STEM educator who can support students with their background knowledge in the field. Lipscomb and BEST, with the support of sponsors and volunteers, will provide everything else. The Music City sponsors are Nissan and Tennessee Valley Robotics. For more information about the competition visit BEST.

Every year, the requirements for each robot vary, so students cannot rely on their previous design. In 2023, the task was to create a surgical robot. However, in 2022, it was to develop a robot for fulfilling warehouse orders. Both of these tasks are relevant to modern-day needs. With the increasing number of online orders, a robot for fulfilling orders is valuable. Similarly, a surgical robot can be more precise than human surgeons, and a robot can potentially save more lives. Best Robotics encourages change and innovative thinking among kids in a swiftly evolving world.
